Review: L'oreal Voluminous Million Lashes

I've read and watched so many bloggers and YouTubers talk about this and thought I would give it a try. I purchased mine on Sunday and I have used it every day since.

Review:
I tried this on right after I purchased it over my beloved Falsies and I thought it did a pretty good job. One thing I noticed right of the bat was the smell. To me it smells like Flonase allergy spray I used when I was a kid. At first it didn't really bother me, but now it kind of makes me want to gag. I can't decide if I truely like the packaging. When I first saw it, I thought it was super sleek, but now I think it's cheap looking. Another thing I am not a fan of is the wand. I've never really cared much for the rubber wands- I feel like they're scratching my eyes. The "bristles" don't go all the way to the end of it so if you try to get the little tiny lashes in the corners it just leaves a goopy mess. But I can't complain about the size. Big brushes like Bal Gal Lash are way too big for my eyes, but I hate super small ones. This one is perfect.
This mascara doesn't give me the volume I want, but it does great with length. I think is all down to the brush. I feel like fiber bristles give the volume I am looking for. The staying power of this mascara is great and is super easy to get off with just soap and water.
If I had to grade this on a scale 1-10 (ten being the highest) I would probably give it a 7. I don't think I would repurchace this again, but I wouldn't ban it from my makeup bag. I think if you're a CG Lash Blast person you would probably love this product along with anyone who like the rubber wands.
Have a Wonderful Wednesday! :)

Revlon Lipstick Collection

Revlon's lipsticks are possibly my favorite lipsticks of all time. They're super cheap, but are probably some of the best quality you can find. My collection started with Soft Nude when I saw Imogen FoxyLocks talk about it. Since then my collection has grown. I can't go into a store that sells Revlon without stoping by.

The color that started it all: Fire and Ice. Revlon relaunched this color and a few others (like Temptress) that started the Revlon brand. This bullet is in a remake of the orginal tubes. I can't bring myself to use it because it looks so perfect. My mom also has this one in the regular black tube so I use hers if I want to wear it.

Have a great day :)

MAC and Sephora Haul

MAC's new collection came out today so my friend Julie and I drove to the mall to check it out.
This is Sakura Mineralized blush. The main color is a cross between a lilac and a pale pink and the heart is a pearly hot pink.

Quiet Cute wasn't something I planned on getting, but after swatching it I had to have it. The color is very close to Revlon's Lilac Pastel lipgloss. It's like a nude with a purple undertone.
I was lucky as I got the last Quiet Cute lipstick :) YAY!

Saint Germain lipstick is a pretty milky pink with blue undertones. I went to MAC last Saturday hoping to get it in case they were sold out later because I know how fast the new collections sell and I learned that this was either discontinued or was part of another collection and were temporarily bringing it back. I totally thought it was a perminant color since it is so popular.

Lounge e/s from Urban Decay is a meduim brown with blue/green irredecents. I was having a hard time choosing between two colors and chose this one because it had the irredecents and isn't like anything else I own.

I bought this by mistake. I tought I was getting a matte nude lipstick, but instead I got an over priced lip balm. I'm not the one for taking things back unless they're faulted or something is in a wrong size. This is an exact dupe for Covergirls lip balms that have been out for forever, but is around $15-$20 more :(

I saw someone talk about this product on YT and thought it sounded like a good product. This is MUFE Waterproof Eyebrow Corrector. It's $15 from Sephora and I'm pretty sure this will last me a super long time as a teeny tiny dab on an angeled bush fills in the entire brow. My shade is 0 which would be for blondes and red heads or anyone who prefers/needs light brows. This truly is waterproof. I swatched it at another Sephora and it stayed on through washing my hands and a shower and lasted well into the next day.

Lily Pulitzer iPhone case :)

LOVE this tea! My aunt introduced this to me. I bought a pound of this because the girl told me if you buy a pound you get 10% off the tea. The sales clerk told me the total would be around $40 before I bought it. A pound comes out to about 3 full bags and 1/4 of a bag and she told me it would last 6 months. My tea is bagged and and she's ringing me up and lets just say she either really sucks at math or she lied... the total was $60 (&*!%#) she was way off by a long shot. But the tea is super delish. I like sweetened or plain-it's good both ways.
Have a super day and don't fall for the 10% off like I did ;)

Philosophy

Mothers day is coming up soon and I don't know about you, but I usually have a hard time deciding what to give my mom, grandmothers, aunt and my boyfriends mom. I usually give each one the same thing every year just something new. One of my grandmothers loves brooches so I usually pick up a Monet at Belk and the other one usually gets a necklace or some think she specifically asks for. My aunt loves charms like for the Pandora bracletes and necklaces. And my boyfriends mom loves candles. Last year I bought my mom an area rug for under the coffee table that matched the one that came with the house haha..
While I was in Atlanta I obviously stopped in Sephora and while make my way around the store I saw that Philosophy had new Easter scents out. You could buy the large bottles or get a trio of smaller bottles. I loved the Orange Jelly Bean scent, but didn't want to pay the price they were asking especially since it was the first store we went to. So I passed up buying any Philosophy products. When we got back home we popped in to Ulta and they too had the Spring Has Sprung set and I decided that I like it well enough to get it.
The trio contains Sugar Chick, Chocolate Bunny and Orange Jelly Bean. Each are 6 oz and can be used as a shower gel, shampoo and bubble bath. I wouldn't trust something I use as a bubble bath or a shower gel to be safe on my hair, but you be the judge. This would be a perfect value set to buy and split it between the people you would want to give it to. At $25 for the set the price for each bottle you be around $8 each.

Sugar Chick is my favorite out of the three. It smells like lemon cookies. It has a fresh sweet smell to it. Each of the gel has an irredecent shimmer to them. It has a recipe for a sugar coated marshmallow on the front. I have never heard of anyone trying these but this one sound kinda fun...

Chocolate Bunny was my moms favorite and my least so I gave it to her :) This one smells like straight up coco. I makes you think of a Hersheys bar every time you smell it.

Orange Jelly Bean was reason I bought this set but the more I smelt it the less I liked it. I still like it, but it smelt better in the store... why does that happen. Kind of like shoes: they fit at the store but fall off at home :(

Everytime I see Philosophy shower gels it makes me think of YouTube makeup guru Gregory Gorgeous. In one of his videos he tell a story about when he decided to taste the products thinking they would taste like they smell. If you've never seen GG I suggest that you do, especially if you need a good laugh. Although he sometimes uses strong languge, so if you're sensitive to that then maybe not such a good idea. But he's super funny, I laugh so hard when I watch his videos.
Have a super duper day!!!

Over the past few months Mother Nature has had a bad case of PMS. One day the weather will be amazing: sunshine, 80 degree weather (ready to break out the sundresses and shorts, anyone?) and the next it will be in the 40s and damp and icky outside. Here on the east coast there have been horrible storms brewing and it think this past Monday was the closest I've ever been to a natual disaster. I go to school in middle TN and it's notorious here for having tornados and damaging storms, but it's nothing you get used to and nothing you can do to prepare for it. Where I live tornados are just something you hear about and rarely see.
Anyways, on Monday everyone knew there was going to be a bad storm coming. I think it was moving north to south. But the sirens went off on campus and I had to walk down 5 flights of stairs (the joys of being a freshman) to my dorms basement. Probably close to hundred people sat in the hot, damp basement for about an hour (good time to play Amgry Birds). No one had conact with the outside world. We were stuck down there until we got the ok from the weather service.
After everyone was released I had like 500 text from people wondering if things were ok. I looked out my window and it looked like nothing had happened, but I got word that my family memebers and their neighbors got hit pretty hard and a middle school behind my college got hit. Luckly my family only had minor damage compared to their neighbors. So please keep the people who are having to rebuild their homes and replace their belongings in your thoughts.
Hope you have a good rest of the week :) and hopefully it's storm free.
